Ingredients

Dressing:

  • 2 tablespoon Tamarind Fruit Pulp
  • 2 tablespoon Honey
  • 1/4 cup Mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Truffle Oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Pepper to Taste

Salad

  • 8 ounces of Hanger Steak
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 5 ounces Spring Mix
  • 1/2 cup tomatoes, chopped (4 ounces)
  • 1/2 cup white mushroom, chopped or sliced (4 ounces)
  • 2 tablespoons crispy bacon, chopped
  • 1/2 cup gorgonzola, crumbled (4 ounces)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Meat: Pre-heat cast iron skillet to medium-high heat. Place the steak on the cast iron. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side for medium doneness, adding salt when the meat starts to sweat. Turn off the heat, and cover for 5 more minutes. Once cooked, remove the steak from the heat and place it onto the cutting board. Let steak rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
  2. Make the Dressing: In a small bowl, mix the tamarind pulp, honey, mayonnaise, truffle oil, salt, and pepper. You’ll have 4-6 servings.
  3. Build the Salad: In a large bowl, add the spring mix, chopped tomatoes, portobello, crispy bacon, gorgonzola crumble, and avocado. Add 2-3 tablespoons of dressing and toss to combine.
